QuotewellQuotewell is part of Rooh Sites' collection of free single-purpose web tools. It is built for contractors, handymen, electricians, plumbers, painters, cleaners, lawn care businesses and roofers who need to send a clear estimate without learning a bookkeeping package.
Why we built it
Searching for an estimate template mostly turns up spreadsheets and Word files that you have to edit by hand, or software that asks you to create an account first. Quotewell is a form, a live preview and a PDF button. It works out the totals so the numbers add up, and it does not ask for anything before you start.
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no account and no paid tier. Each PDF has a small “Made with Quotewell” line in the bottom margin. Rooh Sites builds simple websites for local businesses, and the free tools are how some of them find us. If you would like a website, see roohsites.com.
How it works
Everything runs in your browser. PDFs are built on your device with the open-source pdf-lib library, and your details are kept in this browser's local storage. Money is worked out in whole cents in a fixed order: line amounts, discount, markup, tax on the taxable share, total, deposit and balance.
Quotewell is an independent tool, not legal, tax or accounting advice. Rules for estimates, contracts, permits and sales tax differ by state, country and trade, so check yours.
